Another week has passed and SHVP keeps pushing forward and running races of all distances and terrain. Let’s check out what the team has been up to! Ashley Sherman ran the Belmar 5 Mile Race in Belmar, NJ on July 13 and finished with an impressive time of 44:31! The race is presented by the Goodwill Hose Company. Race Roundup: July 4th Edition

Summer is here and this week was busy as heck. We had teammates running 5k’s, 10k’s, 15k’s, 10 milers and even 100+ milers! Good lawd y’all; SHVP has been crushing all the miles and we are just getting started. Let’s get into it! On June 27th, the dynamic duo of Joel Capolongo and David Houston took on the Tom Fleming Sunset Classic 5 Miler in Bloomfield, NJ. Vegan Power 50k: 2019 Recap

Last week we met in Pittsfield, Massachusetts for the annual running of the Vegan Power 25k/ 50k Ultra. This is one of our teammates favorite races every year and many of use have come back year after year; this was my third time. The race director, Alex Bancroft, and crew put on such a well polished event it’s hard not to fall in love with it. As SHVP looks for new ways to engage with our community, we talked about sharing our accomplishments via weekly roundups. As this is the first, it may be a bit raw but it will be refined as we move along. What we hope for is that by sharing our races and individual accomplishments, as team members of one of the largest ethical running clubs around, is that we can inspire others and or prove that being a vegan athlete (amateur or pro) it’s not as difficult as you’ve been led to believe. Seneca 7: 2019 Recap

What an amazing race! The fact that the weather was grumpy and ugly couldn’t dampen the camaraderie and love that was palpable all weekend long. Once again, SHVP showed up ready to compete and represent veganism in a way that was not only compassionate but that was fiercely exuberant. Ragnar ADK 2017 – WE DID IT!

Five years. That’s a long time, but it feels like yesterday that we took a measly twelve runners from Saratoga Springs to Lake Placid, NY. This year, our fifth consecutive year of competing in Reebok Ragnar Relay Adirondacks, we took four teams of twelve runners (plus van drivers!) across the state.
