Sponsor: J. Bar

Living here on Cape Cod can be extremely difficult as vegan. As you can imagine, we have a plethora of seafood places, burger joints and everything else. The options are getting better and better but we lack true vegan restaurants. Sure, we’ve got a veggie place in Hyannis but it’s not strictly vegan. So when spring comes, it’s nice to know Erin and J. Bar will be opening up for the season down in Harwich Port.

As mentioned on their website, “J. Bar starts with the finest, freshest pesticide-free ingredients available. We then prepare each item using methods which ensure that their life-enhancing nutrients remain intact, delivering a higher form of energy directly to a body’s cells with each sip and every bite.  All of our foods, juices, smoothies, acai and pitaya bowls, supplements, iced cold detox drinks, salads, sandwiches, house made treats, snacks & salad dressing  – even our sweet stuff – is pure, full of flavor & nutrition.  What it’s not filled with is processed sugar, gluten & dairy products.

Owner Erin A. Tucker has channeled her decades of experience in pursuing a healthful way of life, and her natural creativity, into conceiving J. Bar’s menu and its art-filled, eclectic atmosphere. A lifelong lover of nature, the ocean and adventures, Erin grew up believing in the power of nature and has always been drawn to healthful eating. Preparing food with only natural ingredients, using techniques which allow our food to remain in its purest, most-beneficial form, is her passion (or one of them anyhow).”

J. Bar is one of my favorite summer spots. Working outside I always need something healthful to cool down and fill up I stop by for a sandwich (my fave is Earth) and a juice. If you find yourself vacationing on the Cape in the Summer, this is a must go to place!
